I heard that you can put saline solution on it twice a day (for any keloid, in my case my industrial on my ear //: ) which
Basically is contact solution. I just started the regime but it doesn't hurt to try it.. it's a disinfectant. (: Best of luck if you try!

I've had awful problems too with my navel piercing. When I first got it pierced last year it got really badly infected and a keloid formed and was very sore that I had to remove it! I got it redone about 3 months ago and the keloid came back, so I decided to see m piercer which had no clue what I was talking about! :/ so I went to another piercing place and the told me it was a keloid! He said that I should clean it twice a day for a week with SEA SALT (not table salt) and tea tree oil and rub the keloid till it breaks down and it should go away! The keloid has shruck but is still there, only because I have stopped using it and haven't cleaned it properly in a while! But tea tree oil is very good and it does work!

I have one as well and I took my piercing out today. I plan to get it repeirced as soon as I get the keloid gone. I haven't had any success with using the tea tree oil while the piercing was in .I began developing another keloid on the entry wound as well so now I have two. The entry keloid is bleeding that is why I took out the ring. I am soaking it with salt water and anti-bacterial soap. I will begin using the tea tree oil and aspirin paste in about 3days. Hopefully this helps me.

I had surgery to remove a cyst on my chest a year ago and developed a keloid. This was the second keloid I've formed and my surgeon told me that I could get a steroid shot or have it cut off (which could actually make another keloid form). So I opted not to do either.

While in Ulta, I came across this product called "ScarAway." It's a silicone sheet that you put over the keloid. It wasn't expensive so I got it. The directions say it's a 12 week treatment and I'm only on day 9, but I seriously can tell a difference already. You can see my before and after pictures on my beauty blog, just Google "Purging Pretty Beauty Blog." I don't want this site to think I'm spam so I didn't put the link. But I am tracking my progress on there.

    Hope this helps :-)

I've had 2 keloids now in 2 different places. Keloids are a result of the piercer not being experienced or not peircing correctly. I'll give 2 examples:
My first keloid I got on my belly botton piercing on the under neath part, and it was not pretty. Most people think that a keloid is a scar formed as a result from the piercing or from not taking care of it. WRONG. It can in some cases be scare tissue if left long enough with out care, but in the early stages is really just a small cyst or infection.
When I saw the keloid on my belly button I had no clue what it was. I had a few piercings and took good care of all of them but never seen this before, however my belly button the guy had trouble piercing. He pierced from the bottom up, and had a hard time getting through the thicker part of my skin pulling back and trying to stick it through harder THREE times!! It was very painful. I have a very high pain tollerance having 9 tattoos and 15 pierincgs none of which were unbearable. He finally got the ring in cleaned it and I was off. A few weeks later the keloid formed, I'm guessing about the size of a small pea? I poked and squeazed at it irritating it more and making it hurt. I finally grabbed a pin and very lightly pricked the edge of it and a large amount of puss (infection) and blood started to come out. Sorry to be gross, but I gently squeezed it dabbed it with a tissue and noticed a significant decrease in the size. I sprayed some H2Ocean (water and sea salt) on it and let it sit over night and I'd say in about... 5 days it was completely healed and gone.
I recently got a piercing on my ear called a "anti-tragus" look it up it's a thick chunk of cartilage across from your tragus and it was pretty painful. Well after I got it pierced... I heard the piercer say, "that was the first one I've ever done" GREEEEAT! I don't recommend getting uncommon piercings unless you ask the piercer if they've done one before, it makes a HUGE difference. Anyway, followed the normal routine spraying it with cleaning solution 2-3 times a day and it has healed rather well, but beginning of this past week a huge keloid started forming, when I noticed it, I tried cleaning it even more often, but that didn't work. I tried looking up some remidies to get rid of them, but I don't know about you, garlic and olive oil, surgery and laser removal weren't something I was willing to try. I have heard that crushing up an advil, adding a small amount of warm water to make a paste like mixture and putting that on the keloid once a day until it goes away will work. (A piercer friend told me that) But I tried what I did last time, I took a sterilized needle, which you can do by letting a needle sit in rubbing alcohol over night. I lightly pricked the keloid in my ear which had grown extremely painful, and immediately puss and blood came out relieving a HUGE amount of pain and pressure. It was almost completely gone. I sprayed it with my cleaning solution cleaned it with a q-tip, repeat and today it pain free and almost keloid free.

NOTE: I do not recommend anyone doing this, I am just sharing my personal experience, and there are differences in keloids (soft- infected hard- scar tissue) I know how difficult and painful they can be and wish everyon the best of luck. Please choose your piercers wisely.

Crush up an asprin and mix it with a bit of warm water and let that sit on the keloid for about 20-30 minutes a day until the keloid goes away. Piercer's secret. =]

Mine is also Like that ! My sisters Navel had that too it took a year for all the scar tissue to fully grow out of the Belly Button.. What I am currently doing is a Salt water And Tea-tree Oil treatment all youl need is

    - 100% tea tree oil
-Salt (Sea Salt) Or Table Salt
    -Luke Warm water
    -Q-Tips

Ok To Begin Wash your hands Really good So Know Germs Get in the belly button That's if you still have a hole But still wash your hands of you don't after that Get your 100% tea-Tree oil & rub it on your Belly button Don't use too much Because your belly button could react badly And Make it even biigger so use a dab then Get the sallt and put it in the luke warm water and use that around your belly button Do That remadey for about 1 month then then the scar Tissue should be gone then you could re pierce

Keloids are sometimes permanent and tampering with them can aggravate the scarring. But tea tree oil works wonders.
    Good luck xx
