my b-day is a couple of months away i'm turning 13 and my mom said i could get a belly button ring i REALLY REALLY want one but i HATE needles and i want it but i dont want it to hurt it wont b hard for me to clean it i jus want to know for on a scale from 1 to 10 how bad does it hurt???

For the first few days...mine would have been about a 7. But, it goes away after a few days. However, it could take up to 1.5 years to fully heal.

It all depends on your tolerance for pain. What may hurt you may not hurt another person, so you will never get an answer that is accurate for you. The only thing I could warn you of, is even if the piercing itself doesnt hurt, it is going to be swollen and tender for a little while. If you can handle that, then I say go for it.

im 15 and i got mine done last year and i was so scared it was going to hurt but when theu guy was piercing it it wasnt really that bad and it didnt really hurt or swell after... good luck

yeah, i dont think that your belly button swells after getting peirced unless its infected:S:S
mine never did and ive had it multiple times

Under normal circumstances, it will swell a little. Any wound you cause to your body will swell, thats your body's natural reaction.

10 i dont have one but from seeing and hearing it hurts badly. And i will not advice u to have one because u are still a baby and it does swell if u have sensitive skin, u all people are crazy. i go against those things and i guest ur mother dont care about u cuz if she did she wouldnt have tel u yes in the first place so dont do it

So because we get piercings, our mothers dont care about us? lol..get a grip. Piercing is a form of expression, if you dont like it, dont do it.

my mom took me to get my belly pierced when i was 14 and trust me, she DOES care about me!
