I am getting the top of my ear pierced, like on the side in the cartilage. I was wondering how much it will hurt if it is being done with a needle (not a gun) and how high chance it is for infection. I know that it takes alot longer than a hole in your earlobe to heal, about a few months?

well, i got my cartilage pierced a couple of months ago with a gun.
i didnt feel anything except a little pinch. the after care was easy to.
my earring didnt infect and it didnt hurt that much wehn i slept on it either
its strange because i only dissinfected my ear for three days not even
and my ears perfectly fine, no blood no puss and my ear looks perfectly fine
even after a long time of waiting i dont have anyyy infection. usually when i
got my lobes pierced they DID get infected but not my cartilage.

i've had mine done yesterday... umm is it normal for it to still hurt... cuz it does.. like when will teh pain acctually go away? i got it done and when i did i didn't feel anything... but now it hurts... umm.. well how do you know when it's infected to??
1) supposed to hurt?
2) infection?
