As far as whether it will hurt or not, that all depends on your tolerance for pain. If your pain tolerance is high, it may not be as bad as it would for someone with a low pain tolerance.

You might want to start out with getting your ears pierced cause that is more traditional and might not be as big of a N0 WAY to your parents and you can see if you can tolerate that.
I think tongue piercing would be more painful.
The piercing itself does not cause that much pain. It is the swelling associated with the healing process that hurts. It takes a lot of work to keep it clean. It is also hard to eat or talk for 72 hours.
I suggest discussing it with your parents.
pain is in the threshold of the beholder! I could say it didn't hurt me but that doesn't mean it wont hurt you. i don't know many moms who would approve of such a piercing in a 14 yr old i mean wouldn't you rather get your belly button pierced? but to answer your question most people say it doesn't hurt. i had mine done 3 times so what does that tell you. the swelling and funny talking afterward will be the worst part.
Keep in mind that any piercing will hurt! You will experence swelling, and possibly infection. Check out where you're going to get it done and make sure it's legit.
