Age in Oklahoma

Ok so i'm 15 and i called this place in OKC that was looking really clean and good and junk. my mom ok'd the piercing and when i called i asked how much and what i needed to birng. she said that they can't pierce my belly button until i'm 16 and my bestie got her's done a 14 . so does it just depend on the place or is there a law or something???

There is a law and it's illegal to pierce a minor under 16 I believe in Oklahoma. Any place that will pierce someone below the legal age is not only doing something criminal, but I wouldn't trust them to sterilize things properly, have properly trained artists, or use new sterile equipment, either.

well i don't think it's a law b/c i called another place that i found on the APP webiste and they said that they can pierce with out a problem. i don't think anyone on the APP board would select and approve them unless it was legal...so anywho... thanks anyways
