1985 mercury lower unit stuck

1985 mercury lower unit stuck

the lower unit on my 1985 mercury 35 hp outboard is stuck. I have double checked that all bolts are screws are removed. i have tried to pry it off up to the point where the engine faces possible damage. Any suggestions?
