thin-paper chromatography

erm...im finding it hard to do my thin-paper chromatography of lipids write up...
i used olive oil, clove oil, oleic acid, lecthin and cholesterol as components...
i developed the thin-layer chromatography plate in the solvent system (petroleum ether 40/60 bp:ether:acetic acid; 80:20:1) and then air dried it and sprayed it with 10% phosphomolybdic acid in ethanol...and then heated the plate so that the spots developed...
but my results are a bit doo dah...
im finding it hard to find good references to compare my RF values of my components o other RF values of the same components...
im confused and about to have a mental breakdown...
please help
