quite a lot of things - for example, a college education.

Is there any specific thing you're looking for it to lack? Are you comparing it to another type of cell?

A prokaryotic cell lacks a nucleus.

A nucleus is an organelle containing the DNA/genes and completely enclosed by a double membrane. Some nerdy biologists say the nucleus is "bounded" by a membrane. In the same way your house is "bounded" by four walls, a floor, and a roof.

a cell that lacks a membrane-bonded nucleus
So "membrane - BOUNDED (not bonded) nucleus"
