I have asked to have your question moved to the dog forum. We have a lady there that is up on Pit Bulls, although perhaps not able to completely answer all your questions. As far as genetics and personality traits go, that is the subject of continuing research. I filled out an extensive questionnaire, from I think it was Penn State, on the puppy I had 2 years ago. She would only be reaching her mature personality now. The study will continue several years. Many people don't understand that some opinions have solid scientific proof behind them.

While you are waiting for her response, if you haven't already found American Kennel Club - akc.org see what they have to say on Pit Bulls.

I find the suggestion of Googling for it an insult to the knowledgeable people here and rather useless since I am sure you were already aware you could search the net for anything. Worse yet are those unfamiliar with a subjec,t and Google up something they don't know enough about to recognize as not only wrong, but dangerous.
