4 Answers Is it true if you paint your entire body you can suffocate? If so is there a time frame of how long this process would take?
I have a bet with my friend and am about to paint my entire body for 24 hours and want to make sure there is no harm in this.
Please help.

| | | Nope. "Let your skin breathe" is just an expression meant not to apply to much makeup to mask your skin but let the real you shine through. The skin however loses water especially on very humid days so in places where humidity is so high, people can die of heat stroke due to the increased water losses from the skin & respiratory tract. | | | | New Member | |

| | | There is some truth in this and the suggestions below, just make sure you don't use any metalic based paint, acrylic, or oil, because it's the chemicals that can get into your system and poison you if you have it all over, can even do it in less than 24 hours. So use a safe waterbased paint. I once thought that stomping on a curtain that was dirty in the bathtub was safe, and wound up in the hospital 20 minutes later with nicotine poisoning, and it only got into the pores in my feet and legs and I'm also a smoker, but it poisoned me nevertheless and I could have died that night. So it's all on what you put on youself be safe and read the ingredients first and make certain you are not allergic to any of them. People who use liquid latex don't seem to have a problem either unless they are allergic to latex. Good luck on your bet.
