wait, he's the father of your twins but he deprived you of sex? does that mean he stopped having sex with you after he found out he had aids? i would think he did so to protect you. quite possibly out of love.
you don't have to love him still. there's no rule that says you have to love the father of your children forever. it's nice if it works out that way, but the reality is that it doesn't. when you tell your children about them, i would leave out your feelings of hatred though. and tell them about his positive qualities. no sense in hating on the dead. they've already lost their father. at least hopefully they can be left with some positive thoughts of him.
