About 4 months ago, I tried a new stylist based on a friends recommendation and over the couple times I saw here, my light brown hair was getting very more and more blonde. The reason I went to see a new stylist was she was going to do my hair for my wedding and she bailed on me three days before my wedding.

When I went back to my original stylist he ended up coloring my hair a reddish color with blond highlights which turned into a platinum blond color. Needless to say, that was not the light brown hair color I was going for. I went back to him about a week later as I was so disappointed and he put in an all over dark blonde highlights which again turned extremely blonde because of the blonde on blonde.

About a month later, I hated the blond with brown, with red/organge and went and saw another stylist. I explained to her the whole story and told her that I wanted a light ash brown color with absolutely no red. She explained to me that to get from blonde to brown that you have to add the red tone back into the hair but because it was only blonde highlights, now my hair is very red and too dark.

I am still very unhappy with my hair and I feel like this has been an ongoing battle. Is there something I can do to fix this or should I just let it grow out to get back to my original color?? Any help you have would be greatly appreciated.
