vitamin E

Does vitamin E (straight from a capsule) or aloe vera (straight from the plant) help in healing a burn and reduce scaring?

Both. if the plant is available, you can cut a little off and rub it on the burn.

If the plant is not readily available you can use the capsule.

Vitamin E and aloe vera are great for the skin. Vitamin E capsules are helpful both internally and externally for healing burns. You can open the capsules and empty the contents on the skin as long as the (wound is not open). Vitamin E improves healing and reduces scarring.

Aloe vera gel help soothes pain and heat from all burns. You can dab on the gel from the tube or slice a large aloe leaf in half and dab the transparent gel pulp on the burned area. Using the fresh plant or one hundred percent aloe vera gel products with lanolin can help reduce burns and red marks on the skin.
