    Tanning without freckles?
I have pale skin and a lot of freckles! In the summer, my freckles really come out and cover my WHOLE face. I am going to be in a wedding soon wearing a strapless dress. All the other bridesmaids are so tan, so I'm going to start tanning soon so I have lots of color for the June wedding. Unfortunately, freckles come with tan. Is there anyway that I can get a good tan without my freckles coming up? I've tried sunscreen but then you don't get a tan either. Any help would be great. Thanks.

The best product I ever used in my whole life was sallies airbrushing spray on tan. You can get this especially for the face as well and its so even. Only lasts until you wash with soap. This will go straight over scars, moles & freckles for a flawless finish. Also makes legs look a lot skinnier and hides calulite. Hope that helps

I have a lot of freckles as well. When I tan in a tanning bed, using some of their lotions that help to make a tan darker, I never get more freckles. Plus you really only have to tan for about 2 months to get a tan that will look good and stay for about 3 months. I have only gone tanning for 2 summers. Each time I went for 2 months, got a tan then quit. Never were freckles added, and then when I tanned out side with my tan, I only got tanner, and again no more additional freckles.

Wow! Thanks. Will any tanning lotion work, or a specific kind? What kind did you use? Thanks. :)

Any kind that has hennah (may have spelled that wrong) really helps. They have the kinds at tanning salons that help you get tanner and also add a light browness to your tent. I loved them! I felt so dark for me, and the freckles were in the backround rather then the first thing everyone sees

Hi, I live on the beach and I don't have a problem tanning but some people I know do, they are similar to your case in that they are really pale with a lot of freckles, but they differ from you in that they don't think they have to become tan so that they look like everyone else who is tan. I don't know if that helps or not but maybe give it a try

Do you know the name of the tanning lotion you used? I would also like to know if hawaiian tropic tanning oils would work?
Thank you so much for your time:) :D

Hey, well i think the best thing to do, is tan with no creams or lotions and your freckles will join together and make a more even and darker tan. This is better because once your freckles are joined together, they never realy un- join. How ever for them to be fully joined together you need to go on alot. I have been going on alot recently, and they are getting there! i was fed up with avoiding and hiding my freckles that now i actually want them to make me a darker tan! and join together.
everytime i get off a sun bed i look straight in the mirror at the progress, and also get excited. i carnt wait untill they join up. that way ill be tanned and natural! becayuse the only real reason i wear makeup is to cover them up.

So anyway take my advise you can't use lotions for the rest of your life! join them together its easier!!!

I just go to my local tanning place and get a spray-on tan. I would just do that a few days before the wedding. Its easy, costs around $20 and lasts for a few weeks. Also no risk of peeling sunburn!

Hi! I have the same problem as you. I have a lot of freckles, but I have pale skin. I only get freckles on my face.. and I have all kind of weird but small specks all over my arms. Every time I look at them in the day light I honestly feel like I am going to throw up. If I were you, I'd use a tanning oil called Hawaiian Tropic. It has an SPF of 4, and makes you tan like crazy. Just put a small thin layer on. It tanned over my freckles enough that you can't really see them. Just to warn you that of course you can still kind of see them, just not as much

Bad idea Lisa Loo because if this girl takes your advice what happens when they are forever joined and then you have a big brown blotch covering a big portion of your face while the rest of your skin is lighter? I'll tell you what it'll look like... it'll look ridiculous. I would stop now if I were you because not only are u going to cause your face to look strange, but your risk for getting skin cancer increases with every tanning bed session and if you do what you say you're going to do then you'll have to constantly keep the rest of your skin as tan as the big blotch of joined together freckles. It'll look like a big birth mark. I'm not being mean, Lisa Loo because I have freckles, or did, but now they are faded completely and only come out with the sun. I feel absolutely beautiful even though I may not be super tan. People always compliment me on the creamy texture of my skin. I just use lotion and if I want to look darker I use Jergen's glow and that tanning lotion they have! It works like a charm!

Hola! Use ocean potion. Wonderful! I know this is really outdated but a lot of people will see this when they come for answers on their freckles. Honoestly. I would recommend getting your freckles together. Because eventually, once you stop tanning, your freckles will fade. But will still be joined together. So instead of looking very black, (no racism) you will look a nice light brown. I'm getting there. But be careful! & honestly, I would get checked for skin cancer once ever year. If you have a lot of freckles, like me, I have them EVERYWHERE, like someone sprinkled freckles allll over my body, & you will have an extreme chance of skin cancer. Just remember that. Get checked every so often, not trying to be a stickler but I'm 15 & I get checked ever 6 months because I was advised by a dermotologist that if I tanned I should get checked quite often because I have very sensitive, but yet darker skin. I'm a nice beige color, but with tanning I turn SO dark. But you freckles will increase with tanning. This is for anyone! Have a nice tanning, seeya :)

Put sunscreen 50 + on your face and then put tanning oil on your body. After use self tanner on your face to make it even it out with your body. I do that all the time because I get lots of freckles on my face when I tan and it looks unattractive. But my body turns out to be very tan. Also on the wedding day, when your face is tan with the self tanner, and when your body is tan, just put foundation on that is the tone of your body. You'll look as good as the person getting married. ;)

I have not fair skin but I still have brown freckles up my arms and other places on my body. But I hate them. The ones on my face don't bug me as much because of makeup coverage but I cannot stand the rest of my body. I want to get tan but I don't want my freckles to get darker.

Hey, I have tons of freckles too and didn't know how to tan without getting more freckles. I know this sounds stupid, but when your tanning at the beach or wherever, put a shirt or something on your face, to cover it from the sun. this works for me because I don't get many freckles anywhere else but my face, and then I just use bronzer. Hope this helps!

In general, whether tanning indoors or out, be careful not to use lotions with fragance; this encourages freckles and age spots. Also avoid using cologne in areas that will be exposed to the sun. Got this information from a professional dermatologist.

Haha this is really funny because having freckles on moderately tan skin is IN right now so a lot of high fashion people are painting on freckles to their face... and you are trying to tan without getting freckles. I wish I had freckles...
