    Straight eyelashes
 Any advice on how to keep my eyelashes curled. I use an eyelash curler but after I put on mascara they get weighted down and go straight again. I've tried every kind of curler (even Heated) and all types of mascaras- cheap, expensive, lenthening and thickening. What am I doing wrong?

I just may be the type of lashes you have. You may want to try extensions?

Try heating your eyelash curler with a blow dryer for a few seconds to set your eyelashes. Then apply a volumizing mascara after using the eyelash curler. This should keep your lashes curled.

Ive found that Maybelline New York 'Lash Stylist' mascara is good for making your eyelashes extra long and lifted.

For straight eyelashes I usually dip vaseline in my mascara

Please be careful about the dipping mascara in vaseline. If there are certain bacteria in the vaseline that may have come from your fingers, or other places, that bacteria will now be in the mascara and most likely set you up for an eye infection which could be serious depending on the bacteria.

You mentioned that your eyelashes were "weighed down," so have you ever considered getting your eyelashes dyed? That way you could have the color you want, without all the weight.

I'm not sure if it the same but on dye products it recommends that you do not dye eyelashes because you probably get the chemicals into the eyes which will iritate them.

People, do not attempt to dye or bleach your eyelashes. The chemicals in hair dyes may cause serious irritation, even blindness.

I used to have the same problem. What I do now is apply waterproof mascara after I curl my lashes. The waterproof mascara tends to hold the curl better than the regular washable one. Also, make sure you use curling mascara. I've got stick-straight and lightweight lashes and I found Maybelline volum'express turbo boost mascara (waterproof) to be pretty good. My lashes stay curled right until nighttime. :D

I've been doing the thing with heating a metal eyelash curler with the blow-dryer for a few seconds and it works really well. (You just have to test it on the back of your hand so you don't burn yourself.) But, I've discovered that Maybelline Volum' Express Mascara in Waterproof, will really set the curl. I end up with curled lashes at the end of the day when I take it all off and they never used to stay curled. Just my thoughts.

    Hi!
Look I have the same issue you do, I also have straight lashes and I have to curl them. Any waterproof mascara will hold your lashes curled, the only bad thing is that you have to use makeup remover. Some waterproof mascaras like MaxFactor Lash Perfection and Maybelline Lash Stylist are to hard to remove even with makeup remover, but others are easier to remove, you just have to look for 'em, buy the way "Washable" waterproof by CiverGirl doesn't hold your lashes curled, maybe because it is washable! But trust me, I've also tried lots of normal mascaras and my lashes go down! Just try the waterproof ones and you'll see ;)

I highyl recommend using Maybelline Volume express in Waterproof. This one works miracles for me! I have the same problem my lashes are long and straight down. Curl them twice, once close to the lid and the second time closer to the tip of the lash. Then, when applying mascara, blot excess (if new tube) on a tissue and then apply little by little two or more coats. Let it dry in between coats. This should work! =)

I have the same problem with my lashes. I have found that the ONLY mascara that works for me is Great Lash by Maybelline in black. It's the one with the pink tube and black lid. First curl your eyelashes by heating the middle of the curler with a blowdryer or lighter, but please be careful that it has cooled down a bit before setting on your lashes , if its too hot it will burn your lid, and it hurts. So when you dip the brush in the tube smear off most of the mascara on the tube opening so that you barely have any mascara on the brush (too much mascara absolutely DOES weigh down lashes.) THEN, most important part, when you apply the mascara start from the bottom of lashes and WIGGLE your brush upward to the end of lashes. Use the end of brush to separate. Do the other eye WITHOUT dipping the brush back in the tube. Trust me this works, and I have the shorted and straightest eyelashes you can imagine.

Hey this might sound a little weird to you but I have the same problem, there's no eyelash curler or mascara that work at all with me, but a very close friend taught me to curl my eyelashes with a spoon facing down, it really works for me, try it and then put on mascara, you'll be amazed.
I hope it works as well for you as it does for me :)

It is possible to have your eyelashes permed. It takes about 45 minutes, no pain.. I'm abeauty therapist and I find that not many salons do the treatment these days, but call around I'm sure some 1 will

Get your eyelash curler and heat it up with your blow dryer for about five to ten seconds then test it on your hand so you don't burn you eye then curl your lashes but pulse the eyelash curler then apply mascara and once your mascara dries curl the ips of the lashes best trick ever
