avoiding a tan

hey guys. is there a way i can avoid getting a tan. iv started swiming and when i take off my swimming suit it loks lyk im still wearing it coz my exposed skin has gotten darker. lets be honest, sun blocks dont really work, they are made to protect from uv rays and stuff. or is there sumthing i can bath with that will reduce my 'tan'.

HI,
The sun will tan almost anyone who stays in it long enough. I don't know of anything that will "bathe" off a tan or reduce it.
You might consider trying to find someplace you can be in the sun, in the nude, without being seen, to "even out" your skin color all over.

Bibi, if you don't want to get a tan, you can plan your outdoor activities to avoid the sun's strongest rays. Avoid the sun during high-intensity hours. The sun's rays are most damaging from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Also, be sure to wear a broad*spectrum sunscreen with Sun Protection Factor (SPF) 15 or more, which will block both UVA and UVB when outdoors and reapply it according to manufacturer's directions. Apply sunscreen liberally 20 minutes before going outdoors and reapply every two hours, after heavy sweating or after being in water.
