| Bibi, if you don't want to get a tan, you can plan your outdoor activities to avoid the sun's strongest rays. Avoid the sun during high-intensity hours. The sun's rays are most damaging from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Also, be sure to wear a broad*spectrum sunscreen with Sun Protection Factor (SPF) 15 or more, which will block both UVA and UVB when outdoors and reapply it according to manufacturer's directions. Apply sunscreen liberally 20 minutes before going outdoors and reapply every two hours, after heavy sweating or after being in water. |
