    A suggestion(`u`)
Hi!hello! If you are prone to cuts and razor bumps which may result to ingrown hairs and skin redness I suggest that you use shaving gels or creams. I have read some positive user`s comment on AVEENO & EDGE shaving gels. This allows you to have closer shaving w/o cuts/ bumps. And also make sure that your razor is sharp enough so that you don't have to repeat it again and again.
I think they cost a lot but they might be a help.;) ;)

    Bumps
    Hi,
If you are using a razor, you might consider using an "electric" women's shaver.
Some are not that expensive, with rechargeable battery, and charger. My wife switched to one, and really loves it. No more bumps!

Yes electric razors are great. Im just getting used to mine though. Im a little afraid of it. I understand that using vaseline intensive care lotion that has antibacterial wrks great. Try using Dove deoderant. I love it and it smells good.

    Hi Fred - welcome back.
OUch - an electric razor under the arms would be extremely irritating for me and painful.

Shelah, what kind of razor do you use under your arms? This is the key to stopping ingrown hairs. My doctor stated to use a fresh disposable razor when shaving underarms and then throw it away, or change the blade if u use Mach3 or any of those changeable blades.
Try a sensitive skin gel when shaving under the arms and let it air for a few minutes to breathe before getting dressed. Use non irritating deodorants found at your local health food stores.

I don't know if this is an option for you, but the best solution to these bumps is to have your underarms waxed. In time, these bumps will be completely eliminated.
