    Shaving legs
Why is it when ever I shave my legs, as soon as I get the goose bumps, the hair is back. I use lotion after and shave with gel. It really bothers me especially when summer is right around the corner.

And, my 10 year old daughter want to shave, she gets remarks a lot about it, she has very long dark hair on her legs. I told her not till she gets to middle school, whata do you think?

I hate to see this but our kids are maturing at a really early age and if she has trouble with the hair on her legs and someone is kidding her about it, or whatever, just boost her self esteem and let her get rid of the hair.

The goose bump thing really bothers me too. Especially in the shower-get goose bumps and can't shave all of the hair because of the goose bumps.

Hi startover! What tickle advises is what I would do with my daughter.

The fact that other kids are making comments to her, is reason enough to teach her how do it now. It is tough enough being a kid. Harder still when you start maturing earlier than others. Mommy needs to give her a big hug and kiss and show her what to do.

Regarding your problem startover, you may want to "test drive" the new Nair for sensitive skin. It should keep the hair at bay for a longer period than shaving. There isn't much else you can do with a razor than what you are doing. Darned stuff just grows back too quickly. But, now they have the hair removal for sensitive skin, I have been thinking of trying it out on my legs and seeing how it goes. Before, that stuff was just too caustic, and I would get a terrible rash.

I think I will just let it grow and see what my husband thinks. I only do it for him anyway. Hahaha... I will show her and tell her that we are going to use nair first for a while. She already shaves her armpits, well it is really long so I showed her that one. There are some really nasty kids out there, if you know what I mean. I always bring up the fact that when you make fun of people it hurts, now she knows how that feels and she watches what she says. What a good girl. Thanks guys. I am going for the nair today. Can't wait any longer...

Lol well I know this was from like a long time ago but what really works is shaving your legs using conditioner and waiting till your leg hair is really long... it gets them super soft trust me!

When my parents got a divorce when I was in the 4th grade... I lived with my dad because me and my mom didn't and still don't get along and my dad let me start shaving my legs haha... so I started around the end of 4th grade! I was like "daddy can i start shaving my legs ?" haha and he's like "i dont even know when girls have to start shaving their armpits so go for it!" haha my dads a hoot!
