Well, if you are talking about shaving your genitals... This is what I would do...

I myself have sensitive skin..
Soooo this is what I do.

Take a bath and soak your skin. Use a New Razor and shaving gel. Don't repeatedly run your razor over the same spot that cause razor burn. Applying Aloe afterwards could help, from that I hear but haven't tried it.

I don't have a bath tub. I always use a new razor, and shave gel gives me razor burn. So that is the reason for my question. And I'm actually allergic to aloe. Thanks for the advice though.

But my question was--Will shaving with baby oil prevent razor burn.

I don't know about baby oil, but have you tried using hair conditioner to shave with? I actually prefer it to shaving cream/gel...

I don't think it would hurt to shave using baby oil.
I've done it, and have also gotten the same results as just simply applying baby oil on my legs AFTER I shave. Helps tremendously either way for me. I have sensitive skin also. But I usually don't get razor burn unless my legs/arms/whatever isn't hydrated enough.

It could be. One thing I've learned through the years (btw-I'm only 27); is always shave your legs either in the shower or the bathtub. Make sure your legs has/had plenty of water on them, lather the soap/baby oil/shaving cream up and apply to DAMP areas. If your skin is dry-you are going to get razor burn if your skin is not hydrated enough during shaving.

When you get out of the shower/bath, definitely put some kind of lotion on to keep moisture in your skin. Keep moisturized always-especially your legs. This will also help prevent razor burn.

NOT scented lotion though because it will burn and cause MORE rash.

Thanks to everyone for the advice, I will try the conditioner thing.

I hate shaving with baby oil. It works great but it takes forever to get the shower clean.

I've been using the Intuition razor. It has this big block of some kind of lubrication all around it. It's so good that I don't need to use soap or anything else with it. I just shave with it in the shower and then put on cocoa butter lotion when I'm done.
