Medium Reddish Brown to Light Brown

I had been coloring my hair a medium copper brown for about a year. The last time I colored 3 months ago I used medium gold brown. My hair is less red, but still has red undertones. I would like to go to a light golden brown. Is there anyway I can do this without ending up looking like Bozo? Am I better off just staying with the medium brown?

If you want to go from a level 5 (medium brown) to a level 6 (light brown) you will need to use a permanent color with a higher volume developer. But you also want to get rid of the red tones in your hair, therefore, I recommend that you use a color with ash base. You can use "Dark Ash Blonde," it will lift your color to a lighter brown and neutralize the red hue in your hair.
