If you are planning to wear glitter make up, it should look soft and pretty, not harsh or dramatic. I know it's hard to find it at the stores. Here's a site that has lots of fashionable glitter make up.

Well, you can contact them ask them if they deliver to the UK. The glitter make up on that site does look good.

Pinkcat, I don't think Ba Star delivers internationally. The site Thomas1970 provided also has some good glitter make up, and it's based in the UK. You should give it a try.

MAC cosmetics are perfect for this type of look. They have products called "mac pigments" which come in little jars and last a lifetime. You can use them for everything, especially eye shadow. They also have a product called "glitter brilliants" that would fit the look you want a little better. Each jar is about $20 US dollars, and I think they ship to the UK. If you don't want to spend so much, MAC pigments and glitter brilliants are sold all over ebay for a fraction of the price! If you want to look at them, go to:
