What is the most effective way to remove hair from the upper lip at home?

I am 25 with fair red-head complexion and strawberry blonde hair. I have some very soft, almost invisible peach-fuzz on my upper lip. It is kind of long toward the corners, but the hair is so baby fine and so blonde/colorless that you can't really see it unless I am in the right light and/or if I pucker my lips together (like a kiss) and the hair is facing straight outward.

I've always been okay with it since, like I said, nobody ever noticed it til I asked them if it looked bad. If it was like brown or black hair, of course I would have been looking for a solution years ago.

But my Husband has recently started asking me to remove it, and quite frankly, it's making me feel ugly in the process. I know I shouldn't do it just because he says to, but I love him and want nothing more than to make him happy, so I am willing to try to remove the hair.

I am terribly worried, though, that its going to be one of those "you should have left well-enough alone" situations and I'm going to make it grow back darker/thicker by removing it for the first time. I'm afraid I'm about to get myself into a lifetime of upkeep with this, when I look fine to begin with.

But okay, if I do go through with this hair removal, I want some tips/advice from any ladies out there with the same situation. What method/products do you use? Is it hard to maintain it? Is it something I will have to dedicate time to every single day? Stubble won't come back that fast will it?? Omg I'm so stressed out over this. But I want to please my Husband, so any advice would be great.

MY suggestion is waxing. You could do a simple waxing at home with a kit purchased from the store. OR you could go to a local salon and have it removed for $7 - $12 on the reasonable side and you can go up the line in salons and pay more. Waxing is a great remedy but if you want to go further, try electrolysis

Well like a year ago he was giving me a hard time about it in a joking way and I told him that was not something I found humorous since he said it didn't bother him since its like so light that you can't see it 95% of the time, and I told him only to say something about it if/when it was actually noticable and he was serious. Well he said the other day that its noticable in certain light so he wondered what I could do about it. I like having honest communication, but this is still making me feel so self-conscious.

And if I wax it, how quickly will stubble come back? Can you wax that often? I don't want to have to walk around with hair growing back all noticably because its too soon to wax again...

i have the same problem but i've always been afraid of waxing but i have recently found an alternative... you can buytiny little razors specifically for cutting this type of hair and they're great for using on your eyebrows and your bikini line as well. i got mine from Boots and its battery powered so cn be used anywhere and whenever is convenient

a good hair remover is sally hansen. you can buy it at any store. you can also try nair, don't wash your face before using it though. your face will burn. wash it after using it.

my best results come from not using razors. Razors will leave stuble and you will have to use it more often. Again, if you are concerned with less maintenance elctrolysis is your best option. Waxing is a quick ten minute trip to the salon. In and out. We have Fantastic sams that do waxing for $12 +$5 for an additional area. You can get your eyebrows and your lip waxed for under $20 and when the hair grows back it tends to come in finer and less frequently.
I think it's awesome that your husband can communicate his likes and dislikes, it shows love and respect if done in the correct manner. Seems like you are on the right track with receiving the communication. Don't allow it to derail you in terms of being subconscious. It's ok. Could be WAAAYYY worse.
