Brassy roots rest of color fine

I had my long hair permanent color with violet base colored yesterday--My hair is light brown to medium brown and alot of gray on underside of hair--I hate red brassy colors--the two to 4 inches of the top of my hair from roots down is to brassy red and I would like to know which product or type of product I can use to just get the brassy red to go brown and not fade out to red-------I would appreciate any suggestions--thanks Its strange the rest of my hair isnt brassy like the top--This if the first time in over ten years I have done anything to my hair--no perms no coloring nothing--thanks

If you want to counter-act the red tones in your hair, you will need to use a green-base ash hair color. I recommend leaving the hair color mixture on your hair for 5-10 minutes then rinse it out. Good luck.
