I recently had highlights and lowlights put in my hair, and the stylist made my lowlights extremelly dark. My hair is naturally a medium brown and the color she put in is more like a black color. I truly hate it, I look like I am dressing up as a witch for halloween. I need to know what is the best plan of action as far as getting back to my original color.

You can put a colour remover on it but it won't lift out much. The only way to truly lift it out is to bleach it till it gets to your natural colour Bleaching is very damaging so firstly just try strip some of the colour out by using detox/clarifying/deep cleansing shampoos. That will help fade out some of the colour.
If after a while you are not happy still, then bleaching might be on the cards. I wouldn't advise bleaching hair at home so just try and get it done from a professional.
