Shoulder issue

I play college baseball and I'm a pitcher. Recently I injured my shoulder in the area between the collarbone and the rotator-cuff. If I could pin-point it better I would, but its mainly in that muscle right in between. Anyway, I've iced it..heated it, stretched it and basically have just tried everything to make the pain go away. I've continued to throw, thinking that's the best way to rehabilitate my arm, but its still hurting and want it to stop. Any answers on how to make the pain go away or what the problem might be? (And yes I did give it time to rest and heal itself, I took about 2 weeks off and once I threw again the pain came back.)

I pitched fast pitch in college. I had a partial tear in my pitching arm. The pain was always in my upper arm. They wanted to repair the tears. I didn't want to have the huge scar. I finished my Nursing Degree and rested my arm for at least 2 years. 20 years later I tore my rotator cuff in my other shoulder while I was sleeping. Have you had any X-Rays or scans done? You really should if it stills causes you pain. You don't want to severly injure your arm or shoulder. Like I said I had to rest my R arm for years before I could even play slow pitch without pain. Let me know how you are doing. Good Luck, I hope it heals quickly.

Ive would say you have either a pulled tendion or maybe a slight tear.
Now im not a doctor, but i am a pitching coach and an active pitcher.
Rest is always good, and you need that, first id say go get an M R I. that will show even minor problems in the arm or shoulder,

one thing you can try is antiinflamitores. what happens alot is when our muscels breakdown we just keep throwing, which is good , it will build strength, but it can also lead to poor mechanics and arm problems,
while your muscel is fatigued other muscels and tendions are trying to make up for what the other parts of the arm and shoulder cant do at that time,

so try this, when you pitch, do ice it that will help the swelling, then take the inflamitores, i my self take 800miligrams. a few day during the week and a few hours before i pitch,
this keeps me from getting sore as much and i get loose much easier,

ive never had arm problems till i hit 30. in which i have an inflammed rotator cuff, i take the inflamitores so i can still pitch, when i take them i pitch over 80, when i dont for a week i lose more than 10mph on my fastball. in my case my rotator cuff doesnt allow my elbow to get above my shoulder, unless i take em. ive never taken anything till now, but i love to compete, im sure you do to.

ps
if your arm hurts just dont throw, it want help, good luck glavine
