what steps to take regarding credit card court date pending

I recieved a court date notice for credit card debt. I have been told by other co-workers that the company i work for has dismissed people in pass for wage garnishments because of the hassle payroll has to go through. Is there something I can do to intercept this process?

Yes, merely pay them the money you owe them.

You can not legally be fired for having a garnishment. ( what hassle, they merely do a withholding and mail them a check)

If you work out a payment arrange they will agree to, most likely a garnishment will not be needed.

Go to the hearing and present you side of the case. Demand to see the original contract you signed, not a copy the original, no contract, no claim, note this also it he plaintiff is not present in the court, move the court to dismiss the cas with prejudice, the court lacks jurisdiction to hear the matte before them.

Attorney cannot testify for the client, no in brief or orally, that is hearsay, you have the right to due process, whcih incldues cross-exaiming of the plaintiff, no plaintiff, no case.

Um steph, did you notice the question was posted on Jul 5th. I would suspect the court date has come and gone by now. Please check the dates before responding.
