Wage Garnishment

Hello,
I have a credit card company that has froze my bank account. My question is can this company garnish my wages in the state of Florida. I am a single mom with a child to raise.

In Florida they can't garnish your wages, maybe they can freeze accounts but you should just use cash like I do because my company is based in Florida and I haven't seen a garnishment yet even though I already have a judgement against me. If the credit card company suing you does something illegally you can take action. Let your bank know they can't legally freeze your account. I know the rule is in Florida in order for someone to garnish wages they need to prove that you are NOT the head of household and they can't garnish anything that is $500 or below a week. If you make more than 500 a week then they can get the state and federal minimum. They know your bank because of your social security number.
