    Verify employment?
    Hello all, I received a call at my mothers house from a collection agency, the woman was yelling at my mother because she said I didn't live there (which I do not) the woman said put her on the phone right now I have the right number. In the end of the big argument the woman told my mother she would have my employment verified, does anyone know what that means? The debt is from a dept store credit card I do owe $1009.00

    Many things,

    Don't talk to collectoin people on the phone,

    Next if they ever raise their voice, hang up

    If they curse hang up

    If they threaten you or threaten any legal action, this is illega, just hang up.

    But if you hang up as soon as they call, you don't have to talk to them.
    Next send them in writing, not to call you on the phone again. But to put anything in writing.

    Employment verification is this, hello, does so and so work there< yes, thinak you. They check to see that you are working.
