Unresponsive Garnishee

Funds held at a TX credit union were frozen on my behalf; Garnishee has never responded to the Writ that was served on the Credit Union via the Garnishee. When she FINALLY did issue a check made out to me-she sent MY check to the debtor & sent me the "stub". She will not respond to my demands for the money owed me. She has given the money - erronoeously - to the debtor & not me.

Question: 1. In Texas, what is the time limit for a response to a Writ?
2. If the Writ is ignored, is the Credit Union liable for the FULL amount due me?
3. Will I have to sue the garnishee & the Credit Union?
4. Is there a Statute of Limitations?

You obtained a judgement and court order of garnishment which you served on the Credit Union. The Credit Union has not responded to that court order and has neither given you an accounting of the amount in the debtor's account or any funds from that account. Is that situation?

If so, go back to the court and have them issue a contempt citation against the CU. Go tothe CU with a sherriff and demand the amount of the judgement.
