charge off accounts

I have some bad debt. I have some harge off accounts. The collection agencies are on me. What can I do. Three of the accounts I've paid. But I have a few others. They are going from one collection agency to another, so on my credit report it's like five or six different accounts when its really one of the same. I need help with this problem. IT all happened when I became ill four years ago and was off for two YEARS.
