Trustee and assets in Chap 7 bankruptcy

How does a trustee search of debts in a routine Chapter 7 bankruptcy. Do they search legal records, etc.?

The trustee only reviews whatever debts have been listed in the filed schedules. They do not search legal records. They don't have time.

Now the people you owe money to, may search all sorts of records, to try and prove fraud on your point and get your bankrutpcy thrown out.

So if you are considering hiding something, don't

Just have some joint property that I really have no financial interest in and forgot to put it in forms. Not hiding anything, just don't want to put my brother through a lot of hassle.
