My Truck

I have an 04 truck, its a beautiful truck! i love it but i dont need it and want to get something more econimical for me but i still owe 16,000 on it and for some odd reason when i take to a dealership all they tell me it is worth about 8,000. so they wont let me trade it in on something cheaper for me and they say its not worth much but its got really low milage and no scratches but i just dont know how to get rid of it... i had it for sale for a long time and i didnt even have any looks at it. it was on ebay and that was worse than the dealerships. im not in a whole but i would like to stop paying so much out of my pocket for this truck that i dont even drive.. what should i do?

My first step would be to verify the value of my truck. I would check that here:http://www.kbb.com/ and also here :http://www.nadaguides.com/home.aspx?l=1&w=28&p=0&f=5000 This will give you a unbiased value of your vehicle. I will say with the current fuel costs, that many v8 and
4x4 trucks have lost some of there value. Have you considered trying to sell the vehicle outright yourself ?
