could you please tell me why they take you tax refund on a chapter 7 bankrupcy

It is just a law, a tax refund is merley the returning of already earned income that was paid out during the year as taxes,

As a note they also take it for unpaid student loans and often for back child support.

I am sure some law maker had a reason for this when they designed the law on it
