Creditor Asking for Property Back

My husband and I filed bankruptcy, which was discharged 3 1/2 years ago. We received a letter in the mail from an attorney about a debt in which we purchased a 4 wheeler by credit card. The 4 - wheeler was paid in full, but we purchased accessories with the credit card and that was the amount that was owed at the time of the bankruptcy. The 4 wheeler was sold at least a year or more prior to the filing of the bankruptcy. Now, the creditor is seeking the collateral. What to I need to do?

First, when you purchase anything via credit card, there is no collateral. Collateral exists only whem you sign a contract that specifies something as collateral. Second, wasn't this debt discharged with the bankruptcy? If not, then you will have to make arrangements to pay it.

Dispute their claim in writing, demand they produce the original contract for a start. Ask them to explain the nature of their alleged claim in full
