I read your answer! My concern is the $ I get from selling my home is more than what my payoff is for my bankruptcy! I wanted to pay off what I owe on it but can any of my debtor's come back on the total $ amount that I filed on them when I filed the chapter 13! I only owe about $2000.00 on my bankruptcy and the profits from the sale of my house is approximately $30,000.00. I just got married last May and filed 6/6/05. I have moved into his house. We decided to put my house up for sale and put about $10,000.00 into it just to be able to sell it. This $ we put on his home equity line of credit. I was unaware that I had to let my attorney know of the sale of my house! When the title company was getting ready to transfer the $ over it came up that I had filed. Right away I contacted my bankruptcy attorney & now we're waiting to see if my creditor's can take anymore of the profit from the sale of my house! Can you please give us some advise on this!
