I Owe A Credit Card Money .a Judment Has Been Entered Aginst Me.my Question Are
1 How Does The Creditor Find My Bank Acct

2 When The Co Does Levy On My Joint Acct May The Co Take All The Money In The Acct To The Extent I Owe Money

3 If I Have Only 50.00 Inthe Acct .does The Levy Continue In Place To Take Any Money I May Deposit At A Later Date.

may a joint acct with a relative be attached by levy

1. credit history for one, when you open bank accounts they do a credit check, so they go back over the last 7 to 10 years of checks on your credit and see what banks have done a check, they will then send a copy of the garnishment to each bank. Also if you were paying your bill with a bank account they will already have the bank and account numbers in your record.

2. yes on a joint account it will be frozen, all the money, the other person using the account will have to prove to the court what part of that money is theirs.

3. yes, that bank account will freeze all money in it, and if you put more money in the bank, they will take that also. Some have time limits, so you will need to check with you bank. bu many times, you will not be able to use that account again
