First you should know who you owe money to ???

But to get a lien on something they have to get a judgement ( in most cases ** some exceptions) but they have to file a law suit against you, and get a judgement, once they get a judgement, they can file a lien with no futher notice to you. they can also garnish your pay and bankaccounts in many US states.

That debt collector seems like they are doing this to merley do harassment trying to make you pay so they will stop calling.

1. if you don't want phone calls, write each and tell them not to call you any longer

2. write all companies and dispute the debt and ask for verification of the debt.

3 don't talk to them on the phone even if they are nice ( nice is the worst since they are tricky)

But to answer that, yes, you can have several liens if they get judgements
