Lawsuit winnings

I filed a lawsuit for sexual harrassment in 2004, I filed for bankruptcy in Feb. 2007. We reached a settlement agreemen on August 10th. When I filed for bankruptcy, I was told that my attorney that was handeling my lawsuit need to fill out some paperwork. I never told my attorney about what the trustee said, but it was only because I was getting ready to fire my attorney. I'm wondering what happens next?? Will I see any of the money and will my attorney get his end of the money??

You will have to report the money you get to the trustee, failure to do so can result in serious problems for you. Not sure what type of bankrutpcy, you are filing, business, personal if personal 7 or 13.
so alot of ifs, But most likely the attorney will get his money for his work and the trustee will get the procedes of law suit to pay toward the bankrupcy on any funds that are over the allowed exemption.
