Judgment filed against me

Judgment filed against me

I received a letter about a judgment filed against me, did not know who any of these people were so it was a complete surprise...I called the county clerk to check on it and it was not filed BUT there was a different judgment filed against me--in 2004. I knew nothing about this and do not know what it is for. I was never served or sent a letter regarding this. What can I do?

You are entitled to due process through every step of the process by law. If you were never served any notice to defend their claim, then proper service was incomplete and you should be able to vacate the judgment. Look up Void Judgments, they will help with the process to vacate. There is no SOL on Void Judgments
