Being sued by Citibank

Help, I've been out of work for the last 4 months and have just now started to get back on my feet with a job. I have contacted all my creditors and have worked out payment plans with them, except for Citibank. My balance 4 months ago was $2,000. It is now over $4,000 and when I contacted them to reach some sort of payment agreement, the lady told me that I was being assigned an attorney and that I am going to be sued for the amount.

My question is.. what do I do now? Do I just sit and wait for a summons? I've never gone through this before and am not sure how it works. Do they demand the entire amount due? Are they reasonable at all? I've had this account for over 10 years and have had good credit with the card except for this past year.
