Improving Credit Score

I am trying to refinance on a house by July, yet I have a major debt that is over $10,000. This account was in good standing for 6 years. The people I spoke with were not willing to settle a lower payment despite explaining my financial situation. They closed the account unexpectedly after my call . Currently, interest is accruing. I can't afford to pay in full. What are my options in this short span of time to help improve my credit scores given this.

Hello Rob:

This isn't going to improve your score. It's going to lower it. They're going to sue you. That's going to make it even lower. If they win a judgment, that's going to lower it even further.

You need to deal with them. That's going to take some cash.
