im in trouble again

Well they say love is blind! anyways i had to fill bankruptcy with my ex husband and i told myself that i would never get back into debt!! well i layed to myself, the problem i have now is that i fell in love again and purchased a truck in which HE PAID FOR AND HE DROVE, put now that we are no longer together he doesn't want the truck anymore and i can not afford it! My question is since i have filled bankruptcy and my credit is shot, should i surrender the truck? And if i do how long will that effect my credit and will i ever beable to purchase a vechile again with out a co-signer?
i hate having bad credit and i am trying to pay my bills on time, but will this haunt me forever? please help? Katrina

Ok, can we please say lesson learned, if he needed a truck, he gets the loan, not you.

But if you surrender the truck you will still owe for it, they sell it, and dedcut what they sell it for, from what you owe, and add in selling fees and any other fees that can be applied.

so you can still owe thousands after you surrender the truck. and they will want you to make payments on that amount without owning the vechile.

You may want to consider a second job to pay for and keep the truck untill you can sell it for at least what you owe on it.
