There are dozens of threads in the Brankruptcy amd Debt (I moved youir question to there from Forum Help) and Credit forums that discuss what you need to do.

Did you receive a summons? You will need to answer the summons with your Intent to Defend.

The fact theat the debt was charged off has no affect on your obligation to pay it.

Have you already received a paper to go to court? How old is the debt? Just because its been charged off doesn't mean they can not try to collect it. Most likely if its an old debt it has been sold to some collection agency for pennies on the dollar. Give us a little more information. . Morally you owe it but if its a very old debt the sol's may apply The worst thing you can do is ignore it
