| First, they would have to obtain a judgement. Even if they do, most places don't allow a lien against a primary residence for unsecured debt. But even if they do place a lien, they can't force you to sell. They can onlly wait until you sell to collect.
Its also not clear whether this is your debt ("I have a debt") or its your sisters ("the car debt was for my older sister"). If you signed on the loan then you are responsible for it. |
