debt collection agencies
Does anyone know what you can do if you owe a debt that has been transfered to a collection agency and you offer to settle with the collection agency but they refuse to accept your money?

I have moved your post to the bankruptcy and debt area, The area you posted is the Introduction area. If you wish, please go back and introduce yourself.

But there are many issues, how old is the debt, when is the last date that you paid or admitted you owe the debt to them. What kind of debt it is, secured , non secured, where do you live, what state ?

But basicly if they don't accept your offer, try and make a better offer to them.
