Bank Garnishee

The court has ordered my business bank account garnished for DOUBLE relating to a civil judgment. What does DOUBLE mean? My account now has a zero balance and.

This is almost a carbon copy of the exact same question, minus the word "business" that was asked in February.

That one didn't get any answers either.

Many times a garnishment is set for double to cover other possible costs, and after the actual money is transfered to cover the debt, the balance would be released.
