calls to employers - credit card debt

I have credit card debt which has been resolved with set payments each month.
The collection agency is calling my place of work and talking to anyone they can, HR.my boss, othermanagers in my department. Can they do this? They want more money than they agreed to do. They are also calling my husband's work and he isn't even on the card.

hello e

debt collectors are the lowest form of life. Never ever believe anything they tell you on the phone ALWAYS GET ANY AGREEMENT IN WRITING. These people will call the dead if they thought they could get anything out of them! If you owe them then they will call and call. The best thing to do is send them a cerified letter telling them to contact you by mail only If you have an agreement with them Make sure it is in writing!
