Bill from Hospital

I received a bill from a hospital I went to, but was never seen by. How can I dispute this?
I spoke with the hospital representative and the only solution she offered was to apply for charity care.

Don't pay it! When they try and get you to pay it keep telling them that they must be making it up or something (get them to verify how they think it is you) because you were never there.
Last I heard hospital bills can't go on your credit report.

...0R u could send them $10. a month til it is paid off

Make them verify the contact with the medical professional you were allegedly visited by. I've been billed for "consultations" that never happened. They bill you with the hopes you'll just pay the bill to get them off your back. Don't roll over until it it verified.
