bankruptcy

Dear sir/madam,

Can a creditor garnishee an individual's sick benefit wages? A consumer proposal is being prepared to current creditor, but due to a past bankruptcy in 1979, (discharge was not granted), which we discovered when we went to prepare current proposal. Creditor has intention to garnishee wages. Amount is $16,000.00. Please advise and I thank you for your input.
