| | | Anyone heard of Lexington Law Has anyone heard of Lexington Law? According to their website, they can get negative remarks removed from your credit report. They are a member of the BBB, so I'm assuming it's legit. I'm willing to pay a fee if it works. | | | | | | |

My Issue with them is in the employment with them, hteir employee retantion is too low, thir training classes are every 2 weeks about 20-30 people at the time, by the 1st month they have lost 90% of them, and they lie in their interviews in order to get you in. It's tax deductable for them having new hires, they claimed as company loss. The issue here is have them fax-email-mail to you a copy of their Retainer Agreement you'll read yourself and they are obligated by law to disclouse it. It states that you can do it your self and how to do it, the fees are way hight for their service. By law You have the right to get a free copy of your Credit Report once every year, if you hav less than 15-20 negative items you are wasting your time and money anything above that you may consider it. The reason I quit is because they take advantage of people ignorance to make money. Many people never bother to read the retainer blue prints, they just sign and pay a blind contract. Don't hasitate READ IT. You don't need people to tell you what to do, any q's i'll be happy to extend . . . don't get m wrong thy can help you, but why waste money when you can do it your self, believe me is not that you are going to pay and wait for a miracle to happen, YOU HAVE TO TELL THEM WHAT TO DISPUTE AND WHY ? Ok I'll include a link in their own website How can bad credit be repaired? - Lexington Law Credit Repair FAQ just read it |
With all due respect, your post is not credible. For being a former employee (which has it's own issues) the original post was not relative to their employment practices, but their legitimacy as a "credit repair" clinic. If you were a legal assistant or paralegal, I can see why you are an "x" employee now. Spelling and grammar are critical in a law firm, or any place of business. |

| Please Do Not Use This Company. They Make Promises To Fix Your Credit And They Ask U For Choices On The Reasons Why You Want To Dispute The Creditors. They Don't Have Good Choices To Select. They Want U To Say It Is Inaccurate. Anyway, I Had Something On My Credit And They Contacted That Creditor Without My Permission, This Awoken That Debt That I Had. Which Was Almost Forgotten By The Creditor. Also On The 6th Day, I Realized That I Can Do These Things Myself For Free. When I Tried To Cancel, They Said The Contract I Signed Gave Me 5 Days To Request A Refund!! Finally, They Went To Draft The Money From My Account, Unbeknown To Me And Have Been Doing This Every Week. I Have Over $192. In Overdraft Fees From Them. This Is For A $34. Payment!! This Is A Wicked Act. I Am Just Finding Out About This Sh---! And I Feel They Willfully Trying To Spite Me. I Will Be Paying That $34. But Am Filing Many, Many Complaints, Blogs And Warnings About Their Undermining Tactics. |

| They have double changed my account on several occassions. After talking to a supervisor and being told that they would credit my account and not bill me anymore. They did it again! |

| If Lexington law firm did not satisfy your complaint, then file a complaint with the BBB. BBB complaints take 30-90 days to resolve. They do all of the negotiating for you, so you wont have to deal with Lexington again about your issue.
Then, if you do not get any results, then file a complaint with the FTC: https://rn.ftc.gov//dod/wsolcq$.startup?Z_ORG_CODE=PU01
Lastly, the Credit Repair Organizations Act provides you with certain rights. Particularly, you must have a contract with Lexingon, or they cannot provide credit repair to you. I think that they may have violated your contract agreement by double charging you. If the CROA violates your contract, you can sue the organization for up to $1000 per violation.
I hope that helps! |

| Thus far in 5 months, Lexington Law has gotten 1 Discover card judgment totaling $4372 and 5 collection accounts taken off of our three combined reports.
I was hesitant at first but overall have been pleased. I have never had a problem getting a paralegal on the phone you can even chat via there website. Of course you can write these letters yourself but really it all comes down to how much you value your time.
It is all about the letter writing, knowing how, and who to send it too, and knowing all the time limitations set by the FDCA. Don't dispute things that are within the statute of limitations for legal recourse, sometimes just the inquiry will set that process off. Also don't have anyone dispute something that is about to fall off on it's own.
Mostly Lexington has come in handy because of the amount of excessive inaccuracies on our reports, some of my "LAST ACTIVITY" dates are ridiculously off, making them stay on my report longer than they should, if you dispute those they have to prove that activity. Debt collectors use this as a sneaky tactic to re age a debt that otherwise is set to fall off soon, or to expire for legal action.
All and all I am so far pleased, just watch what they are doing for you and of course ask questions. |

| Beware of any credit repair company that charges you each month that they are working with you.
What good reason do they have to act quickly? I know of several people who have used them that voiced those same complaints.
As with ANY credit repair company, be careful and do your research first. There are a lot of bad apples in the barrel since the credit crisis struck.
